Privacy Policy for DinDin POS

This Privacy Policy describes how DinDin POS (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the DinDin POS mobile application and related services. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide and improve the point-of-sale service:

  • Account information: Email address and password when you log in or register your device.
  • Device information: Device identifier, device type (e.g. Android), model and manufacturer data, and local IP address, used for device registration, sync, and support.
  • Push notifications: A token (e.g. Firebase Cloud Messaging token) so we can send you notifications relevant to orders and the service.
  • Crash and performance data: Information about app crashes and performance (e.g. via Firebase Crashlytics) to fix bugs and improve stability.
  • Usage data: General usage and analytics data (e.g. via Firebase Analytics) to understand how the app is used and improve it.
  • Data you enter in the app: Orders, tables, menu items, and other business data you create while using the app. This is processed to provide the POS service and sync across your devices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the DinDin POS service.
  • Authenticate you and manage your account and device registration.
  • Sync your data across devices and with our servers where applicable.
  • Send push notifications about orders and service-related updates.
  • Analyze crashes and usage to improve the app’s reliability and experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Data Storage and Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. Account and device data are transmitted over secure connections. Passwords are stored using secure practices. Data may be stored on your device and on servers used to provide the service. We retain data as needed to operate the service and as required by law.

4. Third-Party Services

The app may use third-party services that process data on our behalf, including:

  • Google Firebase (e.g. Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics) for push notifications, crash reporting, and analytics. Their privacy practices are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting and backend providers that process your orders and account data to deliver the service.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You can stop using the app and request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. You may be able to disable or limit certain data collection (e.g. analytics) through your device or app settings where available. If you are in a region that grants specific rights (e.g. access, correction, deletion, portability), we will honour them in line with applicable law.

6. Children’s Privacy

DinDin POS is intended for business use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes, we may notify you via the app or email where appropriate.
